Meet Buddy!!

Thanks to a wonderful friend we have made an addition to our family.

Meet Buddy our new little pal.......

We adopted a neglected and abused 14 month old chi.  He wasn't housebroken or socialized and had been living alone in a utility room with a brother at first and then all by himself for awhile.  He's been here with us for only 3 weeks and has been housebroken and is starting to feel more safe and I hope loved because he is.  We have a lot of work cut out for us to get him socialized.  He's scarred but I just know we can change the bad stuff and make his life fun and happy.  We're very happy!!

It was very busy around here.....it was wonderful to have all or most of my family together though.  I live for those times!!  Family, friends, good food.........what could be better??

Workin Hard

On HATS that is!!!
I have made 8 hats and a neckwarmer this past week.  
I LOVE making hats but after this week I think it will be time to move on to armwarmers or something??  
Have to put my hooks up and get some cookies made.
What kind of cookies do you make for the holidays??
I'm going to exchange cookies and I want to make 2 different kinds for that.
I'd love some suggestions!!!

My most sincere apologies.........

It's been such a bad summer.....only a few more days and it will be behind us!

We lost our Chico on May 1st

On June 25th we lost my beloved Grandmother.

The week after my Grama's funeral we attended the funeral of one of my husband friends from work.  We had just spoken with him, it was a surprise.  3 days later anther work friend passed away.

About a month ago hubbys sister's heart stopped.  We got her back thank God.

10 days ago I went to the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack, I'm fine....just arrhythmia which runs in my family....I got meds to control it.  (Did I mention that we're unemployed and uninsured?)

My car has broken down....am awaiting word on that but I'll bet it ain't gonna be pretty!

Yesterday my husband lost his dear Mother to lymphoma. 

She lived in TN and we are in MI and we aren't traveling to the funeral.  My husbands arms (especially his elbows) and ribs are so sore.  I think finally I can get him to go to the doctor tomorrow.  It's pretty bad when you're in too much pain to attend your own mothers funeral. 

See????  I really haven't felt like blogging or crocheting or cooking or anything else.  I stuff my nose in a book and I don't pull it back out till I close the cover.  Can you blame me??

Hopefully better days are ahead for us.

Sorry to be such a downer.....just wanted you to know why I've been gone so long.

Goodbye Sweet Chico

So sad........goodbye to our very best friend.  

This is a terrible day, we just had to have our beloved Chico put to sleep.  

I'm dying right now....my heart is broken!!!
